The Projects System
[-]

The Projects system is a new way of managing tasks and activities going on in and around CyberArmy. Projects are very different from brigades, they are much more open, flexible and single-task orientated groups. Any member of the CyberArmy, regardless of rank or privilege can commission a project, the only current pre-requisite is that the C/O of a Brigade or Sub-brigade in CyberArmy agrees to 'host' the project (acting as the parent) to oversee it and deal with any administrative duties.

There is no limit to the number of projects you can join or lead, the idea is that they are as open and free to participate in as possible, once you've shown an interest. If you can't find a project thats right for you or you've got an idea that doesn't fit any category/brigade, please let us know via Feedback.

  • CyberArmy University
    • CyberArmy Publications CyberArmy Publications is a project dedicated to ideating, writing and publishing monthly digital zines covering technology, cybersecurity, AI, software, infrastructure and the wider digital culture shaping our world. The project acts as both an editorial lab and a publishing pipeline for CA University, turning fast-moving tech news into accessible, useful and opinionated monthly publications. Each issue brings together research, commentary, explainers, technical notes and curated stories, written in a voice that is sharp, practical and easy to read without watering down the subject matter. CyberArmy Publications is built for readers who want more than headlines. The goal is to make sense of what is happening across the tech landscape, separate hype from substance, and give students, builders, researchers and curious professionals a clear view of the trends worth paying attention to. From AI hardware and Linux systems to cybersecurity shifts, developer tools, open-source movements and internet culture, the zine format gives the project room to be timely, creative and technically grounded. It is part newsroom, part research notebook and part community publication. At its core, CyberArmy Publications exists to document the month in tech through a CyberArmy lens: informed, curious, slightly underground, and always focused on what actually matters.
