'''''CyberArmy Ranks'''''

The CyberArmy ranks are an indicator of a member's involvement and his level of trust within CyberArmy, and are to be taken in this context only. This class has 11 ranks:

'''Trooper (c0)'''

Troopers are new to Cyberarmy and probably have little experience of brigade work, and the community.

'''Second Lieutenant (c1)'''

Second Lieutenant is the first rank you can be promoted to. A Second Lieutenant may have only been with CyberArmy a month or so, but have shown they are able to pick up the workings of their own brigade, and started to integrate into the society.

'''Lieutenant (c2)'''

Lieutenants have been with CyberArmy a few months, they have shown continued progress in their brigade, and a willingness to be part of the community.

'''Captain (c3)'''

A CyberArmy captain will have managed to fully settle into their line of work, they may now be leading a small group or at least shown an ability to lead. They will have established themselves into the community and shown their continuing efforts in their brigade.

'''Major (c4)'''

A Major will have been with CyberArmy a while, they will be established members and most likely commanding their own group. They will be known by their c/o's as potential commanders higher up the chain.

'''Lieutenant Kernel (c5)'''

A Lt Kernel will no doubt be either c/o of a top level group or a brigade x/o. They will have strong leadership abilities, a significant member of the community and will have most likely been part of CA for at least a year if not much more.

'''Kernel (c6)'''

A Kernel is the highest member rank available. They will be very respected members of the community, perhaps been with CyberArmy for 18 months to two years. They will most likely be c/o of a top group in their brigade, and even perhaps be a brigade c/o or x/o themselves. There are a few Kernels that are part of the CyberArmy staff.

And yes, we know that officially it should be spelled 'Colonel'. However, as we are a computer-related community, we decided to slightly change the spelling to make the rank name computer-related as well. If you don't know what a Kernel is, check it out here: Wikipedia: Kernel (Computer Science)

'''General (c7)'''

Generals are assigned by the CinC as a default rank for staff members. They may be C/O of a brigade, or some are no longer assigned to a brigade as they have specific duties within the CyberArmy as a whole.

'''Marshal (c8)'''

A Marshal (Executive) will be no doubt a long term member of CA. They are very trusted members of CA's staff, past or present. The role of Marshal varies drastically; some work as Brigade Co-ordinators, helping to manage and improve the brigade system. Others work as general plumbers of the site (normally with more access than a c7 plumber) and some participate in brigade work, as any other lower-ranking member would.

'''Vice Commander in Chief (c9)'''

Vice CinC's are assigned by the CinC to replace them in absence or after they leave. Obviously very trusted and respected members of the community.

'''Commander in Chief (c10)'''

The CinC is the leader of the CyberArmy.
