Cyberarmy Intelligence and Security

The CyberArmy Intelligence and Security Brigade was commissioned for the purposes of advanced study into network and computer security. Over time we have developed into a multi-disciplinary specialist brigade, our divisions now covering many aspects of network and computer security. Including, advanced research and workings within the fields of networking protocols, distributed systems, analysis and design of new and current computer security systems and services, advanced network security auditing, attack countermeasures and the like. Various projects undertaken, remain c9 classified due to their volatile nature and the possibility that the information regarding them may be misused. However, all missions will always be within scope of the c8 staff to ensure that our activities stay within the outline of the CyberArmy mission, and that all our research is performed within the bounds of legality.

To allow a more flexibility and broader range of article and project topics, we have split the brigade into 3 sections, which are organized with the Projects system.

Intelligence: This section deals with research not covered explicitly by the Security section, telecommunications, intelligence and surveillance-related work/projects. Some examples of this may include virii/malware threats, privacy issues(from a technical POV and not covered by other brigades), counter-surveillance material as well as radio/satellite/internet communications. This section produces articles, applications and hardware projects.

Security: This section mostly do what SOS' objectives were previously, working on security-related publications including tutorials, advisories, scripts & applications, and also hardware projects all relating to physical, real-life and network security.

Special Operations: This section acts as a container for major and/or classified projects (including "emergency" projects) where willing members are selected to contribute. Projects here may be of any topic aforementioned which require special attention and/or may be too sensitive and controversial to become common-knowledge during their progress.

Brigade Color: Yellow (#FFD700)
